Populism (or populists) the new term invented by the press and political elite to insult the people (and majority) who the politicians and bureaucrats are supposed to represent, but disagree with.
What a wonderful term to excuse going against the will of the people "who don't understand".
They had to come up with something when the numbers got so great that they couldn't isolate them in to racists, homophobes or just plain bigots.
Long live the revolution and, as one of our finest philosophers once said, "They don't like it Up 'em" -
