HS2 was really just for a few business people who since lockdown have probably discovered they no longer need as many trips to London.
However I wonder how many forcibly moved media people now based up north are the reason it is still dominating the news.

If only Isambard Kingdom Brunel had scrapped the GWR beyond Bristol and terminated the other end at West Drayton rather than Paddington they could have spent the money saved improving turnpikes countrywide to improve transport.
It's a no brainer when you think about it.
