Bankrupcy and criminal records may be no bar to top NHS roles.
Private health companies will be able to appoint directors and governors with criminal
convictions,director disqualications and history of Bankruptcy to run NHS funded
services under proposals put forward by the government`s NHS regulator.
At present NHS can only appoint to their boards those that pass a ``fit and proper
person`s test``a requirement enshined in law.
But in the consultation paper it is considering ``waiving the requirements of ....the
test``.after ``lobbying by stakeholders``
