  I will look into the German system Barry but until then I would like to stress that we still have a far better system to many countries, and I am grateful for that. Seeing more closurers of childrens wards and the lack of qualified consultants on duty at A&E departments the other factor of "paying " for private care has to be taken into consideration, especially as the same consultant who could have prevented the loss of a loved one in a NHS emergancy is probabally performing a routine op on someone who can afford to pay, will never sit comfortably with me.
