I know PaulW can speak for himself, but saying that the Council could make millions, is a fact, he was not saying he supports fracking.

Iv had time to stop laughing now,,,,,,,,,,,
so if paul w was offered millions even though he opposes it, has concerns or whatever
he would still say, yep that's fine give us your millions

PaulW wouldn't be offered millions, DDC might be - actually, it's not even DDC, it's KCC who would give permission (or not). So it's not up to Paul anyway.
DDC have sent a comprehensive report to KCC, saying NO to fracking.

The facts are
All the shafts in the pits in Kent penetrated the water table with out contamination
Showdown pumped out 7 million gallons of contaminated mining water a week into the rivers.
And hundreds of pounds of explosives where detonated every week.
If we can get gas safely we should
My personal opinion

In Elvington the other day I could have sworn I heard two teenagers giving each other a high six.

Peter, thats a lie, no-one ventures into Elvington from distant parts unless they need a chinese. They do a commando roll from the car, collect their order and wheelspin out. The less brave have it delivered!
I know, cos I live here.

Seriously, some of the nicest, kindest, generous people I have ever met live here. That's why I stay.
We have one gentleman ( in all senses of the word) in his 80's who walks around the village daily collecting rubbish. He does it because he loves this village.

Ali who runs the Elvington Masala takeaway is a friend of mine and I often pop over for some nosh of an evening. I used to have two other friends in Elvington (Joe Hughes and his friend Glyn the truck driver - both ex-miners) but sadly they have both shuffled off this mortal coil.
