 - Looking at the Wards Aycliffe does not have identity as well. what have we got to to do with the town. But as I said before not many in the DDC worry about the views of Aycliffe...

 - Aycliffe wasn't well represented when it was Town and Pier so maybe it will do better under Town and Castle? Speaking of the latter only one Labour candidate has been chosen so it will be interesting to see who the other one is, if it had been John Heron they would have announced it already so I suspect they are looking to pressgang someone into it.

 - Similar here Howard, I received notification of my postal vote, plenty of time to put them somewhere safe then forget where.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

 - Some of this is so open to interpretation that councillors must transgress sometimes without knowing it. https://www.local.gov.uk/our-support/purdah/what-purdah-means-practice

 - This purdah lark is quite stupid
You don't stop being a cllr for the month of the election
I fully understand some could use it to promote themselves as a candidate
But council work doesn't stop during that month
Some officers think this is exactly what it means

 - Going to be an interesting election
With the Mike eddy whom greens think will win milk Hill
Hope not or will cost me a coffee and a cake
THE new wards will have an interest who's worked in the ward

Of course councils have little power these days but are costly

They have no presence on social media and don't seem to have a press officer, usually we find out who their candidates are only when DDC publish the list of runners and riders but the likelihood is they will win comfortably in May.

 - I agree Howard the District tories will hold control

But on Town coincil I think labour will in increase to a near one party council as it was before
This is because most labour cllrs on there consider themselves independent once on there
Even though they expect the group to follow them
