  Complaint made to conservative whip by female staffer alleging rape it seems and goodness knows what else.
  Immediate suspension and police notified.
  Investigation commenced
  So far - seems fair
  
  Alleged perpetrator not advised - fairly routine at this point given the circumstances
  
  Time passes - suggesting a detailed examination - given that it appears there is another complaint from 2016. Complex matter sexual offences. Difficult balancing act but police are entrusted to investigate
  
  Bleating from alleged perpetrator - knows nothing - complete mystery .... seems odd. Both complainants must be lying and the police not clever enough to spot it.... for months
  
  Time passes. Alleged perpetrator interviewed under caution. Fairly serious escalation as suggests police now have reached a conclusion that a crime has been committed and seek some explanation. How the interview is conducted is of course a matter for the police. Perhaps they had a very sensible reason to focus on some elements of the alleged offence as they seek to build the case. Police are under no obligation to show their hand.
  
  But don’t worry. Alleged perpetrator will keep his constituents abreast of developments - nope. Still he is the elected representative and he knows best. Anyway when it becomes public don’t panic. Just some low level sexual harassment allegations. No drama.

  Innocent until proven etc.
  
  Think a bit of honesty required here. we have two young women. Seemingly unrelated. Allegations of sexual harassment and the very serious matter of rape ... all very coincidetial isn’t it.
