  I wouldn't be as presumptuous as to suggest that this is in any way indicative, but the consensus amongst my Labour pals is that Dorrell is a shouty ex-Tory self publicist who has been parachuted into the constituency to satisfy an edict from on high. I doubt that she has much of a chance of unsettling Charlie, if he is allowed to continue.
  
  That said, by the time of the next general election it looks very like Dover will be in the front line of a post-Brexit logjam of gargantuan proportions. In that sort of environment perhaps anything might happen.
