At the start of the alliance it was a system for improved trading,
Which developed into a power war that for the UK is degrading.
Degrading you ask, I’ve never heard that said about it before,
But consider past history, control back then was won at war,
The EU has developed into a farce with a desire to takeover,
Not by weapons and violence but by stealth entering Dover.
Germany, France and others creating the rules, taking the rest for a ride,
What has happened to the United Kingdom and their Sovereign pride?
The gravy train will, I’m sure, still exist for big business and takers,
But what of the rest of this islands population including the makers?
They will plod on to their end burdened with others mistakes,
In a false democracy where those who run it continue to take,
No real need for our schemers or the EU to put the boot in,
The future shambles being created could just please Vladimir Putin.
