    In other words, there would be no north/south border but there would be a west/east one and possibly, by implication, the latter would apply to trade between Northern Ireland and Great Britain. I don't think that's a go-er.

    Interestingly (well mildly), one of the Irish documents refers to a similar scheme for East German goods before re-unification - I hadn't been aware of that.
