my initial reaction was the same as yours baz but having had time think about it i can see the benefits to the reds.
most people when they go to the ballot box at general elections base their vote on the party leaders rather than mp 's.
very few see one nation ed as prime minister and even more do not see mr b*lls as chancellor or home secretary.
very little talent is waiting in the wings so to bring back people with proven presentation skills could be a serious vote winner for them. telling porkies in the past is not a great problem, people expect that of politicians - almost a badge of honour.

If the press get hold of it and manipulate it, labour could (and should) end in second place to UKIP. All they have to do is remind the public of, for example, illegal wars, and remind us who was involved in the 'spin' during that little episode.

Alan Milburn is at the moment , a Adviser to David Cameron, has been since August 2010 .. Devided loyalties? ? Same old Tories, Same old New Labour . I wonder if Dave still phones his mentor, Tony Bliar ? ? They are really in it together!

Joe Public are paying for the Government`s ill-conceived Austerity Policy
The poorest pay the price for austerity: Workers face biggest fall in living standards since Victorian era
The number of public sector workers on low wages doubles to more than one million, with women and part-time staff disproportionately affected by squeeze on incomes
The biggest drop in living standards since the Victorian age is seeing low and middle earners suffering an unprecedented squeeze on their incomes as austerity measures continue to bite, with women and part-time workers disproportionately affected, research reveals today.
More than five million people are officially classified as low paid and an increasing number of public sector workers are struggling to make ends meet, according to the New Economics Foundation (NEF) think-tank.
It warned: "Workers on low and middle incomes are experiencing the biggest decline in their living standards since reliable records began in the mid-19th century."
The NEF has calculated that the public sector now employs one million low-wage workers - double the previous estimate - with health and social care staff, classroom assistants and council employees trapped on small earnings.
Sales assistants and retail workers make up the largest group of low-paid workers in the private sector, with large numbers also working as waiters, bar staff and cashiers.
The study blames the continuing drop in disposable incomes on pay freezes and below-inflation rises, leading to wages steadily lagging behind prices.
Separate research by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation concluded yesterday that for the first time the number of working families living in poverty exceeds those without anyone in work. The cost of living has moved up the political agenda in recent months with Labour claiming that the average person is £1,600 worse off than when the Coalition Government took power in May 2010.

Such is the damage your Party's irresponsible spending spree did over 13 years of economic mismanagement, sheer vandalism. Osborne has just not repaired your damage quick enough but cutting too slow and not enough.

What has that to do with the government or the Conservatives? Define what exactly is included in 'bankers'.... What does the 35% actually refer to? Is it the partly nationalised banks or all banks? The government is not and should not be involved in the remuneration decisions of private businesses.
I suspect that if you analyse the breakdown of figures a very different story emerges from what this idiotic picture is trying to convey. In fact - I do know the answer...
A large part of that 'rise' is due to the increase in share prices over a period of a couple of years. A few years ago due to public pressure a lot of cash bonuses were pushed into bank shares, these shares have since done well and those who received them will have benefited accordingly.
Bear in mind as well those share based bonuses represented a risk cash bonuses do not - they are reaping the benefit of taking that risk.
Good for them and just think of the extra tax revenue that will result as CGT etc......

Actually Reg I do not support them at all simply because I end up sorting out a lot of their poor retail advice but I will expose unjustified and idiotic attacks by such as you.
I note that once again you do not actually try to challenge the points I make.
If you want some credibility limit your attack to matters that are substantial and real and you may even find I would support you.

Barry
The link is probably because your party is financed by the bankers.
The thing is,, voters will be thinking, what do the greedy bankers get from the conservative party.
When you lay down with dogs.

Lib Dem treasury chief Danny Alexander accuses Tories of planning deep 'ideological' cuts in next term
A Liberal Democrat Cabinet minister has accused the Conservatives of planning deep spending cuts after the 2015 election to shrink the state for ideological reasons
Danny Alexander, the Treasury Chief Secretary, launched the attack as he tried to reassure Lib Dem activists that his party is not "lurching to the right" even though Nick Clegg is backing more cuts after the election.
Writing on The Independent's website, Mr Alexander hit back at criticism from the Social Liberal Forum, the party's main left of centre pressure group, which fears that endorsing more "Tory cuts" would rob the Lib Dems of their separate identity. He insisted: "This is not binding Liberal Democrat and Conservatives into the same long term fiscal policy. It is about finishing the job that we started in 2010....It is emphatically not about an ideological commitment to a smaller state."
