as the country slips into third world condition over unaffordable energy ,the chickens will be coming home in the next decade over this coal mining folly
Gordon Brown and the labour party will go down in uk history for selling uk gold reserves cheap, just as feat currency is going to go bang.
The mass destruction of the access to the £ billions in uk coal reserves, will mark the conservatives equally unelectable fools.
The repercussions of destroying the uk mining industry haven't even been felt yet.
When the lights go out ,,the fingers will all be pointing at the conservatives party

Jan, I think these investigations should go through and be made public, not so much to lay blame on anyone, or to exact revenge, but to make officials think twice before they try and run roughshod over our civil liberties in the future.
There was a time, not so long ago, that the general public would never have questioned the integrity of the police, for example at Hillsborough, but now they can be held to account it could be well worth it.

the officer in the second photo should certainly face the music, should have been weeded out earlier when they realised he was just a thug.

Well you would have expected a labour government to have opened this one up with an enquiry ,,says a lot about new labour don't you think.
Basically Thatcher doubled police pay, then set working man against working man
But the good thing to come out of it is ,,the north ,Scotland Wales and N Ireland stopped voting conservative.

the reds have long abandoned working people, back in the days of a strike either in the port or a ferry company, lord prescott was very loud in saying that sacked workers would be reinstated/compensated. should they gain office.
once in office he refused to do anything about it or even talk to people who were protesting.

While we are on this subject, I wonder if you can help. I along with others have been compiling a record of
the men who lost their lives during the life of the Kent Coalfield. There are no official records that we can get our hands on. The up to date list that I have:
Shakespear=14 Tilmanstone=18 Snowdown=44 Chislet=56 Betteshanger=68.
We are finding Tilmanstone records a problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
