As if we didn't have Jihadi hate preachers and murderers in Britain, the Foreign Secretary William Hague is pushing through an agenda to bring to power terrorists in Syria.

Alexander
we do have a problem where the govt is killing people, so we can turn a blind eye and do nothing
or we can help in an EU wide agreement

Turn a blind eye I say, we should have turned a blind eye in Iraq and Afghan too, the loss of life is too great a price to pay

Yeah, our people if we're not careful. We should stop policing the world, if maniacs want to kill each other let them do it, its been going on in that part of the world for centuries, we'll never stop it.

Its hardly a unique one Keith.
Where would you draw the line? If we're not careful we'd be sending troops everywhere as soon as there's a spot of bother, let them get on with I say. We've got a DEFENCE Secretary, HM forces are here to DEFEND us from attackers.

I say(but we are only two) that we cannot sit back and allow govts to kill there people whilst doing nothing, we dont have to go in with troops as has been errors of the past and i believe even this govt has recognised that

So, you say what we shouldn't do but not what we should do.

No surprize david
I don't share your view,
Hague is correct in sending a message that rebels could be armed(this doesnt mean they will be, but does send a message to the syrian govt)
I think even this govt should play a role in talking to other govts, and even the syrian govt,
To get a unified response

all rather dated and patronising to think that us in the west know what's best for the rest of the world.
what would have been our reaction if another country sent troops into northern ireland during the troubles?

I know we were p****d off with the support the IRA got from some in the USA and other countries.
We could support the 'baddies' but not actively get involved with the problems of other countries unless our sovereignty is seriously endangered.
