  A few days ago a sparrow hawk perched on a tree in our garden for quite a long time, I guess looking for little creatures below or in adjoining field -
  
  - lovely orange neck, dark wings and back, pale and speckled underneath and yellow legs - very attractive bird. First time we have seen one perched in the garden.

  Well done John there...great ones, very enjoyable to see those. Always good to see wildlife pictures on here anytime.
  
  
  
  I saw a rare looking bird recently too Kath, on the bushes in Millers car park ( Premier Inn ) of all places. Quite an unusual one and quite colourful with unusual combination...I rushed to get a camera but coudnt get it up and running in time, so there are unusual birds about at the moment.

  Plenty of those around, I believe this is the breeding season.
