I don't mind feeding the hedgehog, I just wish she or he would stop poohing and digging holes all over the lawns!

Drat, just spotted the 36 months restriction; thought it would serve as a main meal for the resident hedgehog and also as a lunchbox snack for grandchildren.

Also made somewhat of a mistake regarding the squirrel. Brought home a load of sweet chestnuts (and I do mean load as there are hundreds of them on the floor of the woods) thinking Sid would eat them, but in fact he's saving them for later. This consists of planting them in the other half of the lawn that the hedgehog hasn't dug up. He works fast: pick up nut, select spot, scoop up earth, drop nut, pat down earth, go back for next nut.

To think that in a few years time you and Sid will not have to worry about food, he will have planted his very own Chestnut wood.
A few years ago we had a mouse living under the shed who thought the dropped bird food was his own special food supply, he knew exactly when to avoid our two cats as well as the dog.

Today's visitor was Vicki. Sorry about the reflection of the windowsill in the second shot, but I thought her unabashed look was worth including.
