  David is so right, public spending has just not been cut enough so the deficit has only reduced by about a quarter (not a third as Osborne said in the budget...)
  
  The problem for his critics on the left is that it would be far worse now with a higher deficit and higher debt if they had their way or the Darling plan. We would also all be paying higher interest rates and no growth...
