Not true .Pauline and I lived in the village and represented River at DDC .Cllr Beaney lives within the Ward .and represents us .

Members on the DDC are not outsiders .The Councillors who represent.Sandwich. Also Eastry live in their Parishes .The Chairman of the Planning Committee lives in Whitfield and represents the Ward .The Councillor who represents Dover on Planning lives within the Ward .Its there for all to see their photos and wards they represent ,no hidden agenda ..

I can see that the chapel is not without charm and memories, and that questions arise as to the number, style and necessity of housing that will replace it, but the jump-off point is that its previous owners had no further use for it and put it on the open market.

I stand by what I said the parish council does not have any power within its own parish. And only a very few cllrs on the D,D.C. WILL vote against their own party that goes for reds and blues.

Why did the parish council not buy the chapel them selfs there is all ways a use for them within the parish ?
