    A few more for the coming Bank Holiday Weekend

    Saturday 24 August 8.00pm
    SAMPHIRE HOE PIRATES AND SMUGGLERS SPOOKY WALK (Green Gang)
    Come along dressed as a smuggler or pirate and hear stories of 'rum goings on at the Hoe'
    - be prepared to be spooked! Suggested donation of £2 appreciated. Please bring a torch.
    LEADER: Paul Holt, White Cliffs Countryside Partnership (01304 225649). MEET: Site
    Management Office, Samphire Hoe (pay and display car park). The Hoe is signposted off
    the A20 from Dover to Folkestone (TR 294 391). DISTANCE: 1.5 mile (1.5 hours). GRADE:
    5 (night). Dogs on leads.

    Sunday 25 August 12.00noon - 4.00pm
    SAMPHIRE OPEN DAY
    From 12.00 come and see the displays about how the Hoe was made, it's history
    and wildlife. Also join in the fun activities including drawing a colourful seashore
    creature to add to the coastal collage or make and design your own wildlife badge.
    Suggested donation of £2 appreciated for each event. LEADER: Paul Holt, White
    Cliffs Countryside Partnership (01304 225649). MEET: All events start from the Site
    Management Office, Samphire Hoe, CT17 9FL (pay and display car park). The Hoe is

    1.00pm SAMPHIRE TRAIL -
    Find your way around the trail working out the answers as you go.

    2.00pm CREEPY CRAWLY CREATIVE -
    A minibeast safari and a chance to build your own bug to take away.

    3.00pm CHALK ART -
    We will walk down onto the sea wall and create a chalk master piece.

    ST MARGARET'S WALK
    A gentle, afternoon walk around the Frontline Britain Trail to hear about the history and
    wildlife of the South Foreland Valley and St Margaret's Bay. Donation of £2 per person
    appreciated (to South Foreland Valley Volunteers). LEADER: David Hart, St Margaret'sat-
    Cliffe Parish Council (01304 241806 or 07878 614123). MEET: Car park (opposite White
    Cliffs Hotel), High Street, St Margaret's-at-Cliffe, near Dover (TR 358 447). DISTANCE: 5
    miles (3 hours). GRADE: 4 (one steep hill)

    THE LOST STREETS OF DOVER

    be revealing the truth behind the story of Dover's pub for every day of the year legend.
