Although I'd like to think I know Dover, this is more like a tourist's knowledge which is pretty much useless when it comes to actually living there.
I would really appreciate if you could give me some pointers. We're looking for a friendly and quiet place. Without trying to sound disrespectful, we'd probably want to avoid council estate-type places.
What do you think about Tower Hamlets/Noah's Ark and thereabouts? The views are stunning but what is it like to live there?
Are there any particular places in Dover you'd suggest we avoid?
