I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

23:1181835good for you jan with the painkillers.
on the subject of our prime minister i have no problem, i think his heart is in the right place.
it is the people around him that are the problem, dave can be crass at times and embarrass the country but i think he genuinely wants the country to pull together.
despite his upbringing and background he does seem to be in tune with us proles.

Making a difference through my work
Coming home to my Old Man (and sometimes the kids)
Painting pictures
Playing my banjo and bass guitar
Drinking Bushmills and real ales
A really lovely meal, maybe cooked by me, but definitely not cleared away by me!!
And last but not least, sharing it with my mates on DF
A quick PS will be: seeing my son when he gets home from Durham Uni the week after next. I miss him!

11:0381877I think my priorities and what makes me happy changed a little recently when I was seriously ill.
Getting better and actually still being here makes me very happy. My husband, family, good friends and my animals and birds make me happy. I sill enjoy taking photos, writing, music, architecture and reading, but also just stopping and appreciating the simple things in life.

don't expect your arabic version of the bible to sell well in arabic speaking countries.
in fact some of them may end up on a bonfire.

20:0481947Doubt it, Howard. The article is not against the Koran. It's callled: the first oral translation of the Gospel, and explains that at Pentecost, the Spirit descended on a house in Jerusalem where the followers of Jesus were gathered, and not on the Temple. At that moment, the new House of God was centred in that house, and so too the Altar of God. This was several decades before the Temple and Altar in Jerusalem were destroyed, which was 70AD!) The article might be translated one day into Hebrew too, but whoever translates my articles - today the article: unemployment in Britain, was translated into a European language, must first have read them in English and decided to translate.
The Company rates my articles well, so that they are easy to find on the Web.
So far I've had two translations into European languages. A number of articles have been re-edited on online latest news magazines.
