  I am going to be a bit contentious do we really need a market, just because there was one in the past it does not mean we need one now.
  
  Once upon a time street markets were the only source of cheap items now we have cheap shops that are selling the very goods that used to be the prerogative of market traders. A farmers market might be the way forward as they sell items not readily available in shops.
