  Sid, I'm sorry if the phrase 'vaguely effeminate' caused offence. I was merely implying that if they were a character from the Beano they would be Walter the Softy rather than Dennis the Menace.
  
  As to the Jocks that is another matter altogether. If I were a transvestite I would admit it rather than claiming it was 'national costume'.
