I would love one of those outside gyms in Connaught Park, it would compliment the children's playground. The wish list is getting bigger but one has to aim high to achieve one's desired aspirations
Roger, car parking is obviously on the list, we all know how it would instantly increase the footfall in Connaught Park. I am up there most days & never fail to observe how many people I see from day to day even in these weather conditions. They are walking their dogs, children are in the playground or feeding nuts to the squirrels being watched by their grandparents/parents, teenage boys are kicking their ball around & many jogging or speed walking around the park. I see older people sitting on the benches taking in the air & enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Of course, these numbers multiply considerably in the Summer months.
There are quite a few parking spaces around the roads near to the park but a car park would be absolutely ideal. A lot of able bodied people will always just walk to the park, with fitness in mind. Connaught Park will always be a passion for many people so thankfully they will be there car park or no car park
