My thoughts on this thread)(having an irish mother from southern ireland(waterford) is there all those years ago john major, tony blair any many other national governments made the brave move towards compromise, this was to try to bring all sides together.
Many gave them a hard time for bringng into irish govt people from the I.R.A. but it proved to be a brave move, one that brought peace for some years, somethng that the vast majority of the irish people want.
I just hope we don't slip backwards into those old times of innocent people being murdered.
Whilst, as Alexander says we shoud listen, this should only be with people that decide that they no longer go down the line of violence.

I was specifically referring to the petrol bomb molotov cocktail waiters as thugs. I think no sane person would call that 'reasonable' behaviour to lob such a potent drink at someone.

I think therefore I am (not a Tory supporter)
Quite so. Not a pop at you Marek - just a quick swipe at those who generalise!
