    now then , far be it for me to get to inviolved in the town council but maybe a few more views might help to even up the debate a bit.

    Sheila has made it clear the reasons as have some other councillors, and clearly from the posts there has been no party politics but more individual decisions.

    now the rights and wrongs of who should/should not be voted for will go on as some have a political agenda outside of the town council and thats fine if thats the route they wish to take.

    BERN;
    I think if you read rogers post on brian roger did say he had lost respect for him
    because he dared to disagree with him,

    so realy come on, this forum is made up as keep saying of lots of people with differing points of view.

    with regard to the forum and cllrs
    well cllrs choose how they guage public opinion, for me in past years i would use any opportunity whether it be direct contact, media, forum, sugery, or lots of other ways, but we if we are honest although the forum is a very valued in gaining information from a cross section of people, it is by no means the only way cllrs should base there decisions

    Usually posters would say, well we wasn't there so we don't have all the information so won't comment, this time because theres a little point scoring because it just happens to be a labour run authority then we get an outcry.

    there may well be an argument for lord boyce in a bigger picture
    just a much as there is argument for others
    and like lord boyce said in the telegraph "i'm not realy fussed"

    ken; you did say in one of your posts abour l young, now you know my opinion of her and so theres no party politics on my side as i would hope she would never be voted for, but then again its all about a matter opinion.

    i don't lose respect for people because the may hold a political or non political
    view different to mine, boy would it be boring if went back to old forum days(before the days of paulb in charge) where the forum was seen as an advertising site for the local tory party. thankfully it's moved from that position.

    If we honestly went to the public and asked them who would you choose
    doi we think they would say lord boyce? thats unknown and maybe even unlikely.

    theres not an election on the horizon is there?
