    Sorry Sheila - it's also about the Kudos having Lord Boyce as a Freeman of Dover would bring (would have brought) the Town - the benefits it would have brought.

    As Barry said it is about the bigger picture, about having the vision to realise what is good for Dover and what is bad. You chose bad.

    If it was good enough for Winston Churchill, it was surely good enough for Lord Boyce; or, putting it the other way round, Dover Councillors previously realised the benefits of having Winston Churchill as their Freeman, why do the current lot not feel the same about Lord Boyce ?

    This was not only an insult to Lord Boyce, but an insult to Dover and the people of Dover. A very bad decision Sheila, not only for you personally, but for the Town of Dover.
