    I voted against.
Honorary Freeman of Dover, a very high award with certain criteria, an ideal person for this would have been the late Jack Hewitt (RIP), who worked tirelessly for the Dover not only promoting the town but working alongside its people.

Lord Boyce was elected as Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports and will remain in this office until the inevitable, with this post he promotes Dover and other Cinque Port towns, and is very well respected, but prior to his appointment of Lord Warden, we knew nothing of him, or any work that he had done for this town or its people.

Honorary Freeman is not only for people that promote the town, but for people that work alongside the townspeople, another example Terry Sutton, who has promoted the town, and its people by his reporting, but also recording the towns history for future generations
