    I had the good fortune recently to make a delivery to the soon to be operational Saga Saphire in Sicily and was talking to the 2nd engineer who had served with Lord Boyce. He said how Lord Boyce was held in unbelievably high esteem by those under him and how those sailors were so supportive of the Lord Warden's stance against Blair, and there lies part of the reason for refusing him the honour by this Labour dominated council who I don't think have a single member amongst them intitled to wear a military medal or honour, I apologise if I am wrong
    Also wasn't it Lord Boyce who promoted the case for Town Councils to honour their citizens within the House of Lords?
    I find the refusal of the other 2 nominees quite bizarre as well but I will comment on that later.
