The Dover War Memorial Project has been involved in many initiatives commemorating our local hero, Walter Tull, of which the art workshop at our lovely Crabble Corn Mill was one. This year especially we're remembering him as it's not only the 90th anniversary of the Armistice, but also the 90th anniversary of his death and the 130th of his birth.
One of the latest releases is a superb series of educational packs about Walter Tull, for teachers to use with school children aged around nine to eleven. The packs can be adapted for younger children. They are freely downloadable from this site:
