Sorry to hear you are in hospital Vic, hope you're keeping the nurses entertained, and that you get better soon.

Sorry to hear the news about Vic, get well soon mate and forget about all these parish councils that you serve on, your health is more important than a council meeting, I am sure they will manage without you.
Take heed of what the doctors say this time.

Do get well soon Vic. My father recovered from a heart attack in that same ward and he enjoyed his time there so be be good to the nurses and obey Leslie.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Pimms anyone..!?
More seriously for a moment...further bit of info from Andy

The main concern seems to be that his dangerously high blood pressure will not come down (it's been this way for weeks now) and the decision has been made that if it doesn't come down by tomorrow, a pacemaker will have to be fitted.
"
Fingers crossed all will be well.

Thanks for letting us know Andy.
Vic's a great character and simply doesn't give in, I hope Lesley is able to pursuade him to.
That's a bit naughty about his high blood-presure; Jean had two strokes in the 1980s because of her high blood-pressure, hope they can get it down quickly.
Get well you old bugger - we love you really.

I'm not going to be two faced and pretend I like Vic - I don't. However I would never wish what he's going through on anyone and I do care what happens to him.
So here's hoping you make a full recovery Vic. I wish you all the best, and Leslie, and hope you are soon back home causing mayhem but taking it easy too
I also echo what everyone else has said in saying you must slow down and relax more. Good luck you old bugger!!

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

I popped in to see Lesley at lunch time as I only work 50mtr from their home, she was hoping to bring him home in the afternoon.
The hospital will put a tracer on him for a week to see just what's going on and then maybe a pacemaker.
I told Lesley to put him in a straight jacket and chain him to a chair.

Dear Paul.
I would like to thank yourself and all the members of the Dover Forum. For all their very kind remarks and good wishs. I am home again, but having more test done over the next two weeks. I have been told to rest a lot and that I might have to have a pacemaker fitted. After That I am hoping to run to all my council meetings,I did not know that I had that many good pals about and feel very humble about it all(Hope that is the right word to use.)
Again thank you all .

Glad to hear you are back home, Vic. My advice would be not to run to your council meetings - get Lesley to give you a piggy back!
