Coming soon to Dover, one of the least 'diverse' towns in the country. A celebration of our multi-culturalism! (I think they mean that bloke in the Chinese and the nice guy with the corner shop in Tower Hamlets?)
I believe that the evening ends with a bonfire enclosing a figure to represent both racism and transphobia who will be burned Wicker Man style in memory of all those denied access to Oxbridge from the BAME community because they were too thick ( the colleges had learned their lesson over Diane Abbott which MUST have been the biggest case of 'positive discrimination' since Prince Charles).

Did make me smile last year with ladies in saris, men in Punjabi suits and people in various African traditional costumes!! Samphire must have gone up to London and paid them a fee plus a free day coach trip.
Their last accounts show £.85,000 paid in wages so it keeps people in work even though there are no former detainees to help.

What a bloody scam this Samphire is.
A load of do-gooders initially wanting to give mobile phones to detainees at Dover Removal Centre (God knows why).
Hundreds of thousands of lottery money and other.
Removal Centre close so they now reinvent themselves (to keep office, cars, non jobs) as taking on the most important job of pushing multi-culturalism down our throats in spite of fact that HMG, KCC, DDC have purposefully kept Dover almost mono-cultural so it can't act as flash point for right wing marching nutters.

Is there a thread in which we can post local upcoming events?

It should be LGBTQ: lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (or questioning), but someone's queered the letter order.
