UKIP on Question Time £
- 23 February 2012 01:31155197Today an email came to me from Paul Nuttall Deputy Leader of UKIP asking me to invite my friends to watch BBC1 Question Time Thursday coming, which would be today.
The problem is, I don't have a TV (it might have ended up buried in the garden), but if anyone is interested, I've pasted the relevant part of the letter.
"This Thursday at 10.35PM I will have the honour of representing UKIP on BBC1's Question Time, in my role as Deputy Leader.
As George Osborne and the Conservative Party yesterday backed "bailing out" Greece with a further £110 billion, this is a golden opportunity for UKIP to once more demonstrate why we are the fresh choice for people in Britain. Not just on the EU but on immigration, crime, education and so much more."
I haven't told UKIP that the Government can't really do much wrong in my eyes after declaring the unity of Church and State.
As for the Greece bail out, I can remember back in 2010 campaigning against Britain's participation in the last one, noting that after one year Greece would be asking for another bail out (this present one).
But my campaign against the previous bail out never made it to BBC1s Question Time, else I might have made a name for myself by now. Blast!

People generally tend not to support small, fringe groups, so there will need to be a hell of a leap of faith for many people.

- 23 February 2012 12:28155284I've always thought that if the Conservative party had followed its members views on Europe then UKIP wouldn't exist and Blair wouldn't have won his second and third elections.
It will be interesting to see how UKIP support goes as the Euro crisis plays out - I think they need someone a bit less 'eccentric' than Farage to put their message across if they're going to increase support so QT will be interesting to watch. - 23 February 2012 12:32155287i am still wondering about alex having a t.v. buried in his garden.

There was some criticism recently on one of those sunday morning political shows that UKIP were nothing more than a one man band. This was put to Nigel Farage, who dismissed it saying there were many household names in the party....ermmm ..said the interviewer with a look of disbelief. Nigel then was pushed to think of someone. Knowing Nigel Farage you will know that he is never pushed for words...always has something to say...but this one caught him a tad short. He eventually came up with Lord Hesketh as the other familiar name and said that we would be seeing new names in the future for our delight and delectation.
