    Diane, welcome to the forum. The use of CCTV evidence in court requires a laundry list of conditions to be satisfied; one small omission such as a warning sign being obscured will result in the footage being ruled inadmissable. So just because it wasn't presented as evidence doesn't mean it didn't exist.

    I'm sure the main World Cup matches will be shown in prison.

    There are two sides to every story; I often wonder why some people get more sociable when in drink and others turn into animals. If 15 months is enough that these thugs don't re-offend then job done. If they do it again after release then the key should be thrown away. Ultimately the right of the public to be protected from violence like this outweighs the 'rights' of the offenders and their families.
