I have just e-mailed our great MP and ripped apart Nicky Potts, head of operational integration national highways in the south east excuses that he came up with in the KM article about Aycliffe.

!. If he can see the port for operation reasons from the Western heights Roundabout he has better eyesight then Superman!

    2. If they move the start of TAP to layby at the top of the hill the lorries would not have to stop on a hill.. which by the way
    they do anyway when queueing.

They could also construct toll booths to check lorries paper work and during TAP to protect the workers and a control centre
To control the traffic going to the port

    3. “If this was to move 200 yards further west there would be lorries trying to stop at the bottom of a very steep hill.
There is currently no street lighting further back and it would also encroach into the high risk fog area of the A20”.

Hang on is not foggy when the Lorries are travelling at 40 MPH when they come across the queue.
Basically they are queuing in a high risk area already and foggy when TAP is on.

Who great idea was to build a road in a High risk Fogg area? The locals could of told them that

    4. We have asked for the start of the queue to be move up the hill to a flat area by the layby. Not 200 yards away up the road.

The layby is away from all Houses.

There you go enjoy the read
