So having travelled to Milton Keynes, I hope this is a brief unbiased report of the game;
The first half saw Dover have few chances and most of the play down Dover's end, and better finishing could well have seen Dover behind.
but Dover went in 0-0 at half time, and were gaining in confidence all the time.
In the second half Dover came forward a lot more putting MK Dons under a lot more pressure, and the MK Dons keeper certainly struggled alot of the time.
A lack of concentrate in the Dover defense allowed MK Dons to score what was to be the only goal of the game.
The second half was far more end to end, and Dover had a number of chances to get that equaliser, but MK dons also had chances and missed some real sitters.
Dover without doubt matched MK Dons who are over 70 places above them in league places, and must have felt relieved to have got to the final whistle.
With a crowd of over 4,000 and 1,089 of them from Dover today should be seen as a learning curve for Dover
The fans were fantastic getting behind the team, although MK Dons are going through a sticky patch the fans did little to lift the,, even when they were ahead.
The Dover fans were elecrtric before the game, during the game, and after the game.
Dover should be proud of there performance today
they should take a lot of positives from this game,
THE CLUB DID ITSELF PROUD.
