Guys Im going off on a tangent here...but having watched the match last night between England and France, I wish you guys wouldnt use the words..."Total Football" when you describe English football.
Total it isnt at any level. Its merely workaday. The national team were wiped by France last night. The whole team for a great deal of the match were reduced to ball-watching as the dazzling French slipped this way and that with imaginative skill and considerable panache.
The scoreline Eng 1 France 2 ...flatters England as France just played them off the park and hit the post as well. The England goal was a consolation late in the game. The above scorline could even have been more. France have been revitalised under legendary player and now manager Laurent Blanc.
This is a French team that were down and out just a few months back and have now re found their appetite...England just bumble along in the same old way. Strewth!
