"a downwood spiral in a bottomless pit, thats the way to go."
Of course, as you know Brian (or as you are about to learn), a "downward spiral" is in fact a 'helix'. [Think DNA]
But as ever, you manage to get things right, in your own way.
Not in fact a downward spiral, but an honest to goodness spiral. [The sort used to get secrets out of spies etc.]
The sort of thing that while spinning gives one the feeling of falling in, or down through.
It is this 'Mesmerising' effect that is at work here. We are asked to look upon our present plight as some sort of vanishing point;we are set to go down the plug-hole.
And, as with any rabbit caught in the headlights, we are expected to 'trust' our future to the good driver. Should the oncoming vehicle veer to the left it is sure to end up in a ditch, so we are told, told by those who favour veering to the right, as if no ditch exists to the right.
And while we continue to see ourselves as the hapless and helpless victims here so we shall remain. As ever at the mercy of the oncoming traffic.
However. We do exist, independently. We are, and as such we are to be reckoned with.
If only we could do what rabbits cannot, and turn our gaze inward in times of trouble, such as now, and not ask:"What is to become of us?" But instead:"What can we, as thinking, dreaming - acting, doing independent creatures. Independent minds, independent Voters, and codependent members of our Local and National Community.
No answers, as yet Brian. But we can each and all make a great stride forward by asking the right question of ourselves.
How can there ever be an answer to our problems until we ask the right question?
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

Reg, as a result, Obama and Hollande are even deeper in the doo-doo than Cameron.
