  as I understand it the process of sending out summons in a variety of languages was to overcome problems of no show or no return due to lack of familiarity with the English Language. Based on my limited experience, I would think it would become apparent very quickly who was able to manage a position on the jury or not and there is a large pool to draw from to find suitable candidates. We are not going to find ourselves in court with a jury comprising non-English speakers unless of course you count the Eastenders dialect that everyone in the country seems to have adopted as non-English!!
