5 June 2010 00:2154903Sadly the money that was used for the seafront work was as part of a government grant programme with heavy conditions attached.
It would be great if we could have found a way to use it to improve access to the seafront (not sure if DDC thought of this or tried to explore the idea maybe one of our local reps can inform us) but it is at least money being spent on the town.
There are other funds available that DDC can tap into, that it may well be possible to use for some "street scene" improvements in the town centre - lets hope they do not miss the boat.
