  Roger, so sorry to hear about your brother he must be totally demoralised with his situation.
  
  I am sure part of the problem is that the vast majority of MPs from ALL parties and their advisers have never been dependent on benefits, or come from a benefit family, so they have no idea what it is like to struggle to live. One or two might have been on one of those life swap TV shows for a couple of weeks but those shows do not give any idea how hard it is to survive on so little money long term.
