Further Good News on our Connaught Park project, C PAG has received another very kind donation of £50.00 which the late Mr John Turnpenny's niece, Katie Lloyd-Nunn presented to me at the latest Castle Forum meeting, where Lorraine Sencicle gave a very interesting talk complete with slide show of Mr Turnpenny's life in Dover, I feel privileged to have known him. Katie travelled all the way to Dover from Stroud in Gloucestershire especially for this presentation by Lorraine on her uncle John's life. It was also the anniversary of John's birthday, 21st March.
With this latest donation, the DTC Grant and the other kind donation of £200 from a Dover businessman, our working budget is now £500.00
Time for painting the benches and planting is fast approaching, where did the last two months go?
Also more volunteers have come forward
We will start work at Connaught Park week beginning the 8th April, weather permitting, so it will be all hands to the brushes and trowels
