  Vic. I think there are some who are against having very rich people here - envy, jealousy, perhaps even political opponents, although of course you do get rich "Champagne Socialists", like Tony Blair and Paul Boland (!!!!).
  
  We've had applications recently for expensive housing, that have almost been lost, can't say what the real objections were, but fortunatley it went though.
  
  We need more working and well-off people living here, who will have greater spending power and we must make Dover somewhere where they want to spend their money, not let it bleed out to Canterbury etc.
