Last month, Mr Gauke MP announced plans to force accountants to hand over the names
of millionaires who use complex schemes to avoid paying their fair share of tax.

More than one as yet without a conviction the rest mainly black-marketeers/smugglers. Important in their own way, but small fry none the less. One that would rather live in Iraq than gaol, an odd bargain to make with oneself.
Do we want them to face justice? The man from HMRC, he says 'Yes'.

Reg - There are already rules in place for that. HMRC have to be informed of schemes that are developed to save tax.
A friend of mine is an accountant who develops tax saving schemes specifically for very high net worth people and is very good at it. He was saying that he has never been busier, getting lots of enquiries driven by all the revelations in the press. He is very grateful to these high profile cases. Interestingly he is politically aligned to you. not me. He and I have had some very interesting political discussions!!!
He at least sees that our salaries and income is indeed ours and does not belong to the State to pick our pockets at will in that legalised theft called taxation. We are all perfectly entitled to use reasonable legal means to protect our property.

at least one of those mentioned had been found guilty and bailed, it seems obvious that with all the money they had swindled they would do a bunk.
most are foreign nationals so they would have somewhere to go to.
