someone told me that there is a function this week where people can go along and meet the mayor and drink tea with the little finger stuck up in the air and sandwiches with the crusts cut off are served.
nothing on the town council website or in the mayor's diary, hopefully one of our members will know something.
Maybe , the lack of publicity is a way to self edit the guest list ? Or your informant got thier information wrong ?

needless to say i won't be going - not after the last time.
despite me giving a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why all that cutlery fell out of my sleeve when i went to leave they were rather offhand about it.
And after all the effort you took to " acquire " your new hat , as well

that is another story sarah, they always tell us to "keep it under your hat".
don't you believe it, their attitude when they found those waterford crystal whisky tumblers under mine was most unpleasant.
Honestly Howard, some of our public bodies just dont appreciate the entreprenurial skills of our more skilled members . I dont blame you for not going back , Mind you the ASBO dosnt help either
