Howard
You have me confused yesterday you said
"was told today that nobody had tendered due to the lack of notice."
Today you wrote
"maybe we are all wrong and the town council will announce whose tender has been accepted."
Did you get the wrong information??

i am not holding out much hope keith, earlier we heard all about the events planned for market square this summer meaning the fountain would not operate.
the fountain is now open.
then we heard about the new water feature planned to replace the fountain.
then we heard about the no hanging baskets and how the money would be spent on making the town attractive in another way.
now we get this from red gordon.

Ray - Jon Iveson has been Tourism Manager for several years.
Mark - cruise ships don't just turn up unannounced and our "old stuff" is of significant historical value. Perhaps your comment was too "tongue in cheek" for me to recognise it as such ?
