there was a relaunch in march/april and it all seemed to be going well.

Roger - 24 June 2012 18:19179753Roger , the Saturday market in Deal's Union Rd car park consists mainly of garden & patio plants, Bric a brac, book stalls & garden furniture. It varies in size from week to week. It is technically run by Deal Town Council but in reality has a market manager who is a trader[I believe] on an agreement with DTC.

I can only speak from what i see, whenever Folkestone has it's markets
normally the one closer to guildhall street, the roads are packed.
maybe they need to look at not stretching it right down to the seafront.
but it does in guildhall street seem to work.
on the Canterbury front they don't appear to have to much of a problem with tourism, as there streets are always packed anyway, market or no market, although the market probably helpsALL POSTS ARE MY OWN PERSONAL VIEWS - Brian Dixon

You also need to remember that their High Street is a lot wider than ours and can accommodate the market without getting in the way of the shops etc with outside seating or displays.Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.
