The Catalina flying boat. We were able to have a look round inside and I was amazed at how small it was considering the very long flights that this type had to undertake in WW2, including this very plane, on anti-submarine patrols over the ocean. It was an RAF Catalina which spotted the Bismarck after the shadowing Royal Navy warships had lost contact and radioed off her position thereby sealing her doom.
