  Not to good Howard.
  
  He had to leave South Africa because his position as General Manager of a Nationwide company had been made redundant; he spent the next 5 months over there looking for a job, then when he and wife eventually made the decision to leave, any equity in their house had been swallowed up.
  
  They sold their furniture and personal belongings to get the flight money and landed in England with no money, no job, nowhere to live and no personal possessions, other than the few clothes in a couple of suitecases.
  
  They are renting a one-bedroom place near Southampton, but need benefits - he is still trying for a job - any job, but still can't get one after trying since last September.
  
  He went to Out-Reach who help people who have been unemployed for over 6 months, maybe they can help him get a job.
  
  He is still hopeful, but literally on the bones of his arse.
  
  So he is not adjusting too well at the moment.
