  Some people just don't understand the implications of having an animal of any sort. My dogs have cost us a fortune over the years but they were worth it. We'd only had Kip a few months when he managed to break his "elbow". We had insurance but it still cost thousands to put him right. And I'd have paid it myself and lived on own brand baked beans for a year if that's what it would have taken to get him mended. Damn good job I didn't have to eh?
