anyone who saw the x factor on sturday would have noticed simon cowell,s poppy
looked like made out of crystals and really expensive
if so the money did not probably go the british legion and cant be right
but i could be wrong and they may be on sale , if so where can you get one in dover ?

And why is it that the poppy Appeal was Launched last Thursday, and there is no were in dover to by one, but every one you see on TV has one is this part of the cuts for this town I will send my money straight to the Legion and have it sent. If we are such a caring society why has no won got out and started selling and if they won't People to help just ask I willing.

They are on sale in Dover, you can pick them up in the Town Council office by the Town Hall , and I rang the branch to ask for a box for my shop , and was waiting for a phone call back.
Shall find out on Wednesday and keep ringing.

Alan it needs some one to take them round,so if you have the time there is a good job you can do. And also you can sell them on the way round. We have no British Legion now in Dover so there is no one to aske you,that is why some one has to get out there find out there you can get the poppys which i think is Deal and take it from there.

it was a contact in Deal, and worse case if i dont hear in the next day I shall ring the Folkestone branch and see if i can get Dad to pick me up a box!
Or ring the legion direct.
*Quick update* I have rung all of them, finally got a answer from the Faversham branch , they are checking and I might be allowed one ready for the morning.

I can advise you all that from Wednesday morning I shall be selling Poppies in the Dover store of Country Brides.
I have located a box.. and am picking them up tonight.

Heya Alan, if you google you will find the British Legion and you can volunteer over the phone.
I have been known to send some of the more elderly volunteers for a cup of tea whilst I man their stand.
Shall be in the shop for a little while tommorrow for anyone who wants one, I shall be changing the window to reflect the poppy appeal.
